1. day …BELGRADE
Arrival to airport ‘’Nikola Tesla’’. Transfer to hotel. Panoramic city tour: Republic Square where are situated National Museum of Serbia, National Theatre, Terazije Square, Hotel Moscow, Parliament, City Hall, St. Marco’s Church, Tashmajdan park, Slavija Square, St. Sava Chatedral, one of the biggest orthodox temples in the world. After visit St. Sava Chaterdal, tour continues to ’’House of Flowers’’, grave of long standing president of former Republic of Yugoslavia – Josip Broz Tito. Accommodation in hotel. Free time. 2. day BELGRADE – AVALA – BELGRADE
Breakfast at hotel. Walking city tour, with local guide: the Belgrade fortress Kalemegdan, the mouth of the two largest rivers in Serbia – the Sava in the Danube, the military outdoor museum, the monument Victor (Pobednik) – the most recognizable symbol of Belgrade, tour continues Knez Mihailova street – the pedestrian zone and the most famous street of the city , to the Cathedral church dedicated to Archangel Michael, the Patriarchate, the konak of the princess Ljubica, Kosanchic venac , the Republic Square. Drive to the mountain Avala which is situated just half an hour from city. There we will visit monument dedicated to Unknown Soldier which was erected on the top of the charmless mountain, in the middle of the forest. The visitors of the monument will notice similarity with Cyrus tomb in Pasargadae. It’s served as a model for construction. Duration of the visiting is 30 minutes. After only one minute, we will be foothill of the 204m high Avala tower. Elevator will bring us to 119m panorama level. Photos taken from there are amazing. On the bottom, official souvenir shop with traditional products from Serbia is waiting for us. Back to hotel. Free time. Overnight.
3. day BELGRADE – MONASTERY KRUSHEDOL – SREMSKI KARLOVCI – NOVI SAD – BELGRADE
Breakfast at hotel. Departure to Frushka Gora mountain and visit to the XVII century Krushedol orthodox monaster. Departure to Sremski Karlovci, a charming baroque town known to be spiritual and cultural center of Serbs during Austria – Hungary reign. Degustation of Bernet wine and honey in the city’s oldest wine cellar. After this visit tour continues to Novi Sad. First stop will be Petrovaradin fortress from late 17th century, one of the most impressive symbols of Novi Sad, situated on the bank of Danube river. Due to its prominent location and size it is often referred to as ’’The Gibraltar of Danube’’ from whose viewpoint you can witness magnificent scenery of Novi Sad and Frushka Gora mountain. Lunch at Perovaradin fortress. Next stop will be Novi Sad – ’’Serbian Athens“, center of Serbian Baroque intelectual elite. Walking tour: Dunavska (Danube) and Zmaj Jovina street, the main walking zones of the city, City Hall, Freedom Square, The Name of Mary Church, Katolichka (Catholic) porta, the house of Mileva Einstein – the wife of Albert Einstein, The Synagogue in Jevrejska street, Matica Srpska – the oldest cultural institution of Serbia, and the city beach Shtrand. Free time until departure for Belgrade. Overnight.
4. day BELGRADE – ETNO VILLAGE SIROGOJNO – STOPICA CAVE – WATERFALL GOSTILJE – MOUNTAIN ZLATIBOR
Breakfast at hotel. Leaving the rooms and checking out from hotel. Departure for mountain Zlatibor. Visit etno village Sirogojno – the unique open-air museum, with architecture, interior decoration of buildings, organization of family life and people from this region from the 19th century. The ethno village displays a set of traditional wooden buildings, including a bakery, a dairy, and an inn, all in authentic form. Tour continues to the Stopica cave, a river cave through which the Trnava brook flows. The cave consists of five parts: Light Hall (Svetla dvorana), Dark Hall (Tamna dvorana), Big hall with baths (Velika sala sa kadama), Canal with baths (Kanal sa kadama), river channel (Rečni kanal). After visiting the cave, tour continues to the waterfall Gostilje – one of the most attractive hydrological values of Zlatibor, located at the confluence of the Gostilje river in front of the Katusnica River, the water falls from 20 meters. 5. day MOUNTAIN ZLATIBOR – WOODENTOWN – SHARGAN EIGHT – MOUNTAIN ZLATIBOR
Breakfast at hotel. Driving to Woodentown (Drvengrad) – also known as Küstendorf and Mećavnik . It is a traditional village that the Serbian film director Emir Kusturica built for his film Life Is a Miracle. After visiting the tour continues to the Mokra Gora for the most unique train ride – Shargan 8 Railway Ride. The route of the rail is remarkable built in a shape of number „8“. It is the biggest attraction on Mokra Gora. Back to hotel. Free time. Overnight.
6. day MOUNTAIN ZLATIBOR – DEVIL’S TOWN – PROLOM BANJA
Breakfast at hotel. Leaving the rooms and checking out from hotel. Departure on a trip to Devil’s Town – that is located in Southern Serbia, on mount Radan. It comprises of more than 200 stone formations, 2 to 15 meters high and up to 3 meters wide, with strange stone caps. That are actually a group of petrified wedding guests, or at least that is what a legend tells, it was nominated for one of the New seven wonders of nature. Arival in Prolom Banja, located in South Serbia, on the slopes of Radan Mountain. It is known, first of all, for its medicinal Prolom water, which belongs to a rare group of water of high balneological values. Accommodation in the hotel. Free time. Overnight.
7. day PROLOM BANJA – MONASTERY ZICHA – BELGRADE
Breakfast at hotel. Leaving the rooms and checking out from hotel. Departure to Belgrade, along the tour of the monastery of Zicha – the first Serbian archbishopric and by tradition the coronational church of the Serbian kings, located near the town of Kraljevo. The monastery, together with the Church of the Holy Savior, was built by the first king of Serbia, Stefan the First – Crowned. The monastery was destroyed in the 13th century, but was rebuilt by King Stefan Milutin at the beginning of the 14th century. Arriving in Belgrade in the evening. Accommodation in the hotel. Overnight.
8. day BELGRADE…
Breakfast at hotel. Leaving the rooms and checking out from hotel. Free time until transfer to the airport ’’Nikola Tesla’’. (End of program)
