Arrival to airport ‘’Nikola Tesla’’. Transfer to hotel. Panoramic city tour: Republic Square where are situated National Museum of Serbia, National Theatre, Terazije Square, Hotel Moscow, Parliament, City Hall, St. Marco’s Church, Tashmajdan park, Slavija Square, St. Sava Chatedral, one of the biggest orthodox temples in the world. After visit St. Sava Chaterdal, tour continues to ’’House of Flowers’’, grave of long standing president of former Republic of Yugoslavia – Josip Broz Tito. Accommodation in hotel. Free time. Overnight.
2. day BELGRADE – MONASTERY KRUSHEDOL – SREMSKI KARLOVCI – NOVI SAD – BELGRADE
Breakfast at hotel. Departure to Frushka Gora mountain and visit to the XVII century Krushedol orthodox monaster. Departure to Sremski Karlovci, a charming baroque town known to be spiritual and cultural center of Serbs during Austria – Hungary reign. Degustation of Bernet wine and honey in the city’s oldest wine cellar. After this visit tour continues to Novi Sad. First stop will be Petrovaradin fortress from late 17th century, one of the most impressive symbols of Novi Sad, situated on the bank of Danube river. Due to its prominent location and size it is often referred to as ’’The Gibraltar of Danube’’ from whose viewpoint you can witness magnificent scenery of Novi Sad and Frushka Gora mountain. Lunch at Perovaradin fortress. Next stop will be Novi Sad – ’’Serbian Athens“, center of Serbian Baroque intelectual elite. Walking tour: Dunavska (Danube) and Zmaj Jovina street, the main walking zones of the city, City Hall, Freedom Square, The Name of Mary Church, Katolichka (Catholic) porta, the house of Mileva Einstein – the wife of Albert Einstein, The Synagogue in Jevrejska street, Matica Srpska – the oldest cultural institution of Serbia, and the city beach Shtrand. Free time until departure for Belgrade. Overnight.
- day BELGRADE – SMEDEREVO – GOLUBAC FORTRESS – KLADOVO
Breakfast at hotel. Leaving the rooms and checking out from hotel. Departure from Belgrade to Smederevo – the medieval fortified city and temporary capital of Serbia in the Middle Ages. Sightseeing of Smederevo fortress, the largest medieval lowland type of fortresses in Europe. Next stop will be Golubac Fortress – it was built from stone on the location of former Roman fortification and had been for centuries the place that controlled the Djerdap canyon. National park Djerdap is the region where Danube’s flow created the greatest river canyon in Europe 98 km long. Lunch. Accommodation in the hotel. Overnight.
3. day KLADOVO – WATERFALL VELIKI BUK – MONASTERY MANASIJA – MONASTERY RAVANICA – NISH
Breakfast at hotel. Leaving the rooms and checking out from hotel. Departure on a trip to monasteries Manasija and Ravanica. First stop will be waterfall Veliki Buk. Short rest for lunch. Driving to monastery Manasija also known as Resava – one of the last monuments to Serbian mediaeval culture. The church was founded by Despot Stefan Lazarevich, son of Prince Lazar, between 1406 and 1418. The church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity. It is one of the most significant monuments of medieval Serbian culture and it belongs to the “Morava school”. Manasija complex was declared Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance in 1979, and it is protected by Republic of Serbia, and monastery have entered a UNESCO Tentative List Process. Next vist will be monastery Ravanica. The Ravanica church is the first monument of the Morava school of the Serbian medieval art. It was built in 1375–1377 as an endowment of prince Lazar of Serbia, who is buried there. Evening departure to Nish. Accommodation in the hotel. Overnight.
5. day NISH – DEVIL’S TOWN – MONASTERY STUDENICA – MOUNTAIN ZLATIBOR
Breakfast at hotel. Leaving the rooms and checking out from hotel. Sightseeing of Nish – the third largest city in Serbia: Nish Fortress, Banovina building, Nish open market and flowers market, the Nishava river bridge, pedestrian street ’’Obrenovicheva”. Departure on a trip to Devil’s Town – that is located in Southern Serbia, on mount Radan. It comprises of more than 200 stone formations, 2 to 15 meters high and up to 3 meters wide, with strange stone caps. That are actually a group of petrified wedding guests, or at least that is what a legend tells, it was nominated for one of the New seven wonders of nature. Lunch. Next stop will be monastery Studenica – it is the biggest and richest of Serbia’s Orthodox monasteries. It was founded in the late 12th century by Stefan Nemanja, also known as Saint Simeon, founder of the medieval Serb state. Studenica was declared Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance, and in 1986 UNESCO included Studenica monastery on the list of World Heritage Sites. Departure to mountain Zlatibor. 6. day MOUNTAIN ZLATIBOR – UVAC – SIROGOJNO VILLAGE – MOUNTAIN ZLATIBOR
Breakfast at hotel. Driving to Uvac – national park where is home of the largest bird of prey in Europe – Griffon vulture. Visit to the ’’Molitva” viewpoint that provides an amazing view over the entire system of meanders, Pester, mountains Zlatar and Javor. Drive along Uvac lake. Evening return to Zlatibor with stop in ethno village known as the Old Village Museum Sirogojno – building skills and interior facilitation, as well as the way of organizing business and family life of people in the hilly – mountainous areas of the Dinar region are presented in 55 buildings (of which 32 are in permanent museum exhibition) which are relocated from Zlatibor’s villages. Overnight.
7. day MOUNTAIN ZLATIBOR – WOODENTOWN – SHARGAN EIGHT – MOUNTAIN DIVCHIBARE
Breakfast at hotel. Leaving the rooms and checking out from hotel. Driving to Woodentown (Drvengrad) – also known as Küstendorf and Mećavnik . It is a traditional village that the Serbian film director Emir Kusturica built for his film Life Is a Miracle. After visiting the tour continues to the Mokra Gora for the most unique train ride – Shargan 8 Railway Ride. The route of the rail is remarkable built in a shape of number „8“. It is the biggest attraction on Mokra Gora. Short rest for the lunch. Driving to Divchibare. Accommodation in hotel. Overnight.
8. day MOUNTAIN DIVCHIBARE – TOPOLA – OPLENAC – BELGRADE
Breakfast at hotel. Leaving the rooms and checking out from hotel. Driving to Oplenac Hill and town of Topola in the heart of Serbian central region – Shumadija. Topola was the first Serbian capital after 500 years of Ottoman occupation, and is a symbol of Serbian Royal family Karadjordjevic. The tour contains a visit to the memory complex, the Saint George Church, Mausoleum of Karadjordjevic Dynasty and the house of the royal family. This area is known for the world famous wine production. Visit to the famous winery and big traditional lunch and tasting of 5 sorts of wines, with a magic view over the wine yards of Oplenac region. Driving to Belgrade. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner in Skadarlija – Belgrade’s bohemian quarter is best known for its numerous restaurants with starogradska (urban traditional folk) music and its paved street that gives this street the old feel. Overnight.
